At daybreak, a group of Hindu devotees headed out to sea to perform a sacred ritual. Thanks for your thoughts and comments in the previous post. I do apologise for the emails and enquiries that I’ve not yet reply - I was absolutely preoccupied in the past couple of weeks, which explains why I’ve not been posting regularly too. Regarding this shot, we made out way to Changi beach at dawn but sadly it was an uninspiring morning as overcast clouds loomed across the horizon. As I resigned myself for yet another 'shoot-for-the-edit' shot, this group of men strolled into my lens’s field of view. Except for the color correction and cleanup, I don't think there's much I can do in post. I left the image as in-camera as possible and hopefully the shot will speak for itself. As always, I’m interested to hear your thoughts about it. In other news, Martin from I See Tech People has kindly included this photoblog recently in one of his postings. Do check out the other photoblogs in the post, they are really good. |

The devotees, the tone and the clouds - they are all so beautifully framed!
