This was taken at Punggol Beach; a very popular spot with sunset shooters. I stacked a couple of Cokin filters and opened the shutter for about 6 secs.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Cokin system. It's cheap and quick to use, but the ND filters are not neutral and introduces a weird color cast which is a pain to remove in Photoshop. Many will say putting a $20 plastic on a $1000 lens just won't cut it. But I say, whatever works eh? :p

Great colours on this one.

The Cokin system introduces a weird colour cast eh? Magenta i suppose? I am always contemplating on getting one set of ND filters. On one hand there might be vignetting, on the other hand the fantastic kinda things you can do (like this shot)...

What to say that is not said already? Fantastic colors, time of day, composition, place. I like the way you avoid setting the line of the horizon in the middle of the picture, emphasizing the fantastic blue and orange hues of the sky.

The interesting rocks in the foreground and softening/dreamlike effect that the long exposure has on the water around the rocks really completes this excellent image.

I like the intense blue of this sky and the effect of fog on the level of the rocks. Beautiful work over the duration.
